The distant hum
fades away into Erebus.
A surge of thought-dripping echoes

AUTHOR’S NOTES : thought-ticking echoes in the deafening silence of the night.

In Greek literature/Mythology the name Erebus is used to refer to a region of the Underworld where the dead had to pass immediately after dying, and is sometimes used interchangeably with Tartarus.
